Our mechanical field maintenance team support industrial, hydropower and geothermal projects across NZ, primarily the Central North Island. As a Mobile Plant Operator with us, you'll enjoy getting out to a variety of client sites, working with a close-knit team and taking pride in a job well done.
About You: You'll be an experienced equipment operator holding a full class 4 HT license and truck loader crane endorsements. If you have been working in heavy industry, ideally with some exposure to the energy sector, with a mechanical aptitude we are keen to hear from you. In addition, you'll ideally also offer:
Proven experience transporting unconventional (over-sized) loads Forklift (F) endorsement with current OSH certificate Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsements Pilot Vehicle license Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement Slinging and dogging load endorsements Mechanical servicing background and able to perform routine services and repairs. Working on client sites with big operating plant and working to time schedules you will need to be motivated, able to work under pressure and work extended and flexible hours as and when required (including periodic work outside of Taupo). A commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures is essential.
The Role: This role supports our operations for routine maintenance, new build and refurbishment for Geothermal and Hydropower projects nationwide. You'll be involved with:
Crane/Lift operations Slinging and dogging loads Logistics Disassembly/assembly of plant and equipment on all our customer sites.
