Ministerial AdvisorLocation: WellingtonType: PermanentHours: 40Salary: $71,417 to $95,785About this role: The purpose of the Advisor role is to research, develop, and produce high quality responses to a range of Ministerial products including Correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, and Official Information Act requests.
It also forms a critical conduit role between MEC and the Minister's Office, managing the flow of information between them.As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:Experience producing high quality written work in either a professional or academic context.A working knowledge of the Official Information Act 1982 is preferable.Working knowledge of the political process, the role of public servants, and the machinery of government.Excellent written communication skills, with strengths in succinct, plain English writing and an eye for accuracy and details.Good communication and relationship management skills.Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple assignments, and deliver to deadlines.About us: The Ministry for Ethnic Communities is the Government's chief advisor on ethnic communities, ethnic diversity, and the inclusion of ethnic communities in wider society.
