The purpose of this position:Direct, manage, periodically review, and evaluate PTFI safety data management and analysis, mining operation safety, safety training and development, and industrial hygiene system; including appropriate coverage, effective implementation, and professional execution by all relevant parties, audit the conformity and effectiveness, and analyzing implementation compliance at the corporate wide followed up with continual improvement.The key duties and responsibilities of this position:1. Manage, review, and evaluate written OH&S reports, and ensure that such reports are appropriately generated and are distributed in timely manner. 2. Participate in reviewing and evaluating OH&S GOI-related permits, for PTFI organization units, Partnership and Contractor Companies, to ensure their validity and in compliance with GOI OH&S legislations, and to monitor their expiry date(s) for appropriate permit extension process by relevant GOI institution(s). 3. Participate in reviewing and evaluating OH&S legal compliance, for PTFI organization units, partnership and contractor companies, to ensure OH&S legal stipulations are identified, properly registered, and adhered to, and any changes or newly introduced stipulations are addressed. 4. Ensure all legal and other requirements as required by the GOI and MEMR are met in relation to OH&S programs, accidents and other industrial safety issues.5. Ensure and evaluate OH&S training, competency, and awareness programs, in terms of the followings:Participate in the review and evaluation of OH&S training, competency and awareness modules, along with PTFI Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD), to ensure its quality in support of the effective implementation of FRESH Management System and are in compliance with FCX OH&S policies and procedures and the GOI OH&S legislations. Manage the appropriate distribution of OH&S awareness-related publications and inter-office memorandums to enhance workers, OH&S knowledge and skills. Review any newly submitted OH&S training, competency, and awareness program(s) by organization unit(s), to ensure that their proposal(s) is in cognizance with PTFI OH&S policies and procedures6. Ensure the implementation of PTFI Industrial Health and Occupational Health (IHOH) programs, in terms of the followings:Manage, review, and evaluate the implementation of PTFI IHOH protocols within PTFI organization units, Partnership and Contractor Companies in his/her area of responsibility, to ensure that all occupational hazards are identified, their relevant risks appropriately assessed and agreed actions are taken to eliminate and/or minimize exposures to workers. Review and evaluate control measure such engineering controls, use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and occupational medical check- ups within respective organization unit. Ensure organization units occupational health programs, such as biological monitoring, are conducted, and the programs are periodically reviewed and evaluated in order to comply with PTFI IHOH protocols. Ensure pre-employment, periodical and post-employment occupational medical check-ups are implemented by respective organization unit, and the results are used for prevention programs. Ensure organization units hazardous substance management system is developed, implemented, periodically reviewed, and evaluated in order to comply with PTFI OHOH protocols. Ensure appropriate investigation is conducted to affected employees and all alleged occupational illnesses, appropriate case classification is applied, and proper illness records and documentations are applied. 7. Manage, review, and evaluate the development and implementation of PTFI OH&S organizations, committees, and task forces, and ensure the updated documents of their appointment letters and respective roles and responsibility. 8. Organize, monitor, and provide report of annual Rencana Kerja Tahunan Teknik dan Lingkungan (RKTTL) and Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Biaya (RKAB) for OH&S PTFI to be presented and get approval from MEMR9. Manage the implementation of the Mining Operation Safety in accordance with government regulations by coordination with all business units.10. Manage the cause analysis of accidents and provide recommendations for improvements, accident trend analysis, and provide recommendations for improvements. 11. Communicate, organize, and control the implementation of Company's safety and environmental policies and procedures, in order to ensure subordinates, perform their duties in a safe manner and environmentally conscious.12. Monitor delegate works, priorities and roles of subordinate to achieve maintenance goals as set in form of agreement between the client and the organization, in order to achieve company target.13. Perform human resources related function in order to ensure the implementation of Company's human resources policies and procedures within the group.The key challenges in this position:Review and conduct safety training requirements for all PTFI employees and contractors working in the COW.Provide proper reporting that meets PTFI, GOI and DEMR regulationsCoordinate the company asset management with all business units.Prepare budgets and manpower projections based on needs and requirements.The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:Minimum Education & Experience :Bachelors Degree (non-engineering degree), with 12 years OH&S experience in mining including occupational health and emergency preparedness & responses with at least 3 years in Superintendent/General Superintendent positions or equivalent, OR College Degree in Engineering, with 12 years safety experience in mining including occupational health and emergency preparedness & responses with at least 3 years in Superintendent/General Superintendent positions or equivalent ORA Certified Safety Professional (CSP), with 8 years of OH&S experience in mining including OH&S management, GOI legal compliance, industrial hygiene, occupational health, emergency preparedness & responses with at least 3 years in Superintendent/General Superintendent positions or equivalent.Competencies (Core & Technical) Core Competencies Concern for Safety and industrial health and Environment Reflects an underlying drive to create safety and industrial health-working environment or prevent accidents in the surrounding environment.Achievement Orientation Highly oriented in achieving targets and improving performance; creates own measures of excellence, scrupulous in ensuring accuracy of work.Analytical Thinking Able to see multiple relationships in a problem.Customer Service Orientation Maintains clear communication, responds to requests in a friendly manner, corrects problem promptly and proactively, keeps the right people informed about progress of requests.Cultural Sensitivity Values individual differences in ideas, lifestyles, professional orientation, and work style based on their culture.Team Leadership - The ability to enable a team to work toward a shared purpose in the best interests of the Company, the other team members, and the team's customers.
