Enjoy an unbeatable beach side residential mine location, while working an 8/6 roster. You will join a team primarily responsible for all aspects related to stope production in the underground mine.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with geology team to review geological models.Ensure that results from drilling and blasting are reviewed dynamically and changes made to designs and practices.Measure blast vibration monitoring results, review and use to influence all charge plans and designs.Ensure all engineering aspects of the reconciliation process are completed in a timely manner.Work with the Senior Engineer – Mining and the operations teams to ensure that the weekly and monthly production plan is achieved.Lead the explosives management aspect of the underground including ordering, auditing, and reporting.Complete stope designs on time and to a high standard ensuring grade is maximized as efficiently as possible.Complete vertical development, probe drilling and service holes designs.QualificationsA recognised degree in Mining Engineering or accepted equivalent.Full and current driver license, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years post-graduate experience in an underground mining environment.Experience using Deswik software regarded.Drill and Blast experience is highly regarded.Additional InformationCompetitive salary package including free Southern Cross Healthcare and Free Gym Membership.No more FIFO, live and work in Waihi, the gateway to the stunning Coromandel region - only 10 minutes from Waihi beach, 1 hour from Tauranga and 2 hours from Auckland.Grow your career with an international gold mining business.
