Midwife - Whanau nga uri (Midwifery-Led Unit)
The effort of a team's success acknowledges the contribution and support of others.
Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to practice primary midwifery. We provide whanau centred care, to hapu whanau in partnership with their LMC.
The role will be based in the Midwifery-Lead Unit.
Nga Pukenga Motuhake Important Skills

Registered midwife with current APC and willingness to work on a 24/7 roster.
A genuine desire to improve equity for whanau by eliminating barriers and bias that prevent whanau Maori engaging with Maternity services.
A well-rounded midwifery experience with a passion for primary birthing.
Computer literacy particularly navigating Regional Clinical Portal and Badgernet is ideal but not imperative as training can be provided.
Knowledgeable in working with and implementing Turanga Kaupapa in practice while embracing the Kaupapa of Te Toka Tumai.
