About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife to fulfil a fixed term position at Te Whatu Ora Lakes. We are a busy secondary care maternity unit, overseeing 1250 births per annum, with a full range of secondary obstetric services.
You will be responsible for:
Provision of clinical midwifery services in accordance with the Midwifery Council scope of practise
Provision of primary and secondary maternity services as part of our inter-disciplinary clinical teams
Being committed to maintaining clinical skills in accordance with organisational best practice guidelines
Being committed to continuous quality improvement activities

About you
The successful application will have:
Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Midwifery Certificate.
Recent clinical experience in midwifery practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders.
Commitment to being a team player.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
