About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Triage Registered Nurse or Clinician and join our passionate and Te Toki Haumanu multi-disciplinary team with the Rotorua Adult Community Mental Health & Addiction Service.
We are growing our team with an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician to help shape the new triage service.
By frontloading the entry point of our service a key aim is to improve accessibility to services and ensure equitable outcomes.
The role strongly aligns processes with the intent of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ara Tauwhirotanga model of care.
To facilitate the delivery of effective clinical services ensuring quality patient care and a safe patient journey across the care continuum.To assist whaiora and their whanau on their journey of healing, with a particular focus on utilising Te Ao Maori models of care; from first entry to service, through early acute intervention and safe transition to other services.To provide community mental health care based on current best practice and collaborative working within the interdisciplinary team.Ensure all inter-disciplinary referrals within the team will be performed with consent from whaiora and their whanau (where applicable).Work collaboratively with complementary internal and external partner organisations.About you Registered Nurse or Clinician with minimum of 3 years' experience in a secondary community mental health environment.Sound assessment and psychosocial intervention skills.Ability to work autonomously and liaise with a wide range of health professionals and partner organisations.Annual Practising Certificate & Registered with the appropriate regulatory body.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.About us

Salary range
$86,519 to $106,739 pro-rated to hours worked.
