Key Job ResponsibilitiesAssemble with emphasis to detail mechanical/electrical of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration of final vehicle assembly fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment.Build solar modules and solar arrays.Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.Support some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.Identify equipment requirements process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory.Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance.Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc).Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.Shift will vary, depending on program needs.Flexible working/commuting in between site locations.Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
CompensationThe starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.2+ years relevant aerospace manufacturing experience, or relevant aerospace trade school certification.2+ years of hands-on work experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration experience.2+ years' experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware.2+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches).Able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license.Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment.Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/or drawings.Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.Prior military service a plus.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
