The Role:
Located in Morningside a short walk to Morningside train station and St Lukes Mall, we are on the lookout for a Metrology Technician to work as part of our Quality team.
Your role will involve setting up and running the Micro-vu Optical Inspection System, being part of the validation, measurement, calibration and documentation processes.
This is a role with development opportunities for a candidate that likes to stay busy and work on different tasks where no two days will be the same.
You will be an integral member of the team with a strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and be highly organized.
This is a perfect role for someone with the skillset to work on both hands-on tasks as well as maintaining all documentation required to meet requirements.
Your primary role will consist of:
Measurement of injection moulded parts, tooling and components
Setup and maintenance of databases for measurement and calibration records
Setup of measurement routines and methods for moulded parts and incoming inspection using the micro-vu measuring machine
Coordinating maintenance and calibration of the micro-vu measuring machine
Validation of components to internal and external customer requirements
Calibration of measuring equipment
Contribute to the overall development of Adept's measurement, quality assurance and validation capabilities
Assist the Quality Manager with auditing, investigating quality issues, corrective actions and any other improvements required
To be considered, suitable candidates must have:
BSc qualification or background in measurement, metrology or Quality
Strong mathematical skills for measurement
Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing environment and SOPs
Computer savvy
High attention to detail and accuracy
Organized with a can-do attitude
You must already be in NZ eligible to work with no restrictions.
