We are currently recruiting Metering Technicians for metering work in the Far North region to carry out deployment of smart meters and ongoing metering maintenance to existing assets. Applicants must possess prior experience and competencies for carrying out electrical work. We're looking for recruits with either: NZ Electrical Registration Overseas Electrical Registration with New Zealand practical experience NZ Electrical (a minimum of 1 year of practical experience) Metering experience in any capacity, which will be assessed and considered The Skills we need our recruits to have: Versatility and flexibility to take on new field service tasks and take on changes A positive and constructive attitude Skilled in dealing with the public and able to comfortably handle difficult people Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health & safety requirements Numeracy, literacy and accurate data entry Electrical experience Electrical testing experience Electrical installation (metering) Working on single and multiple phase electrical installations Following health and safety guidelines Using hand tools Working with handheld data recording devices Energy Industry experience Computer – Familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Email, Excel, Word, Teams Ultimately, you will be a positive, motivated and flexible team player with: Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing random Drug and Alcohol testing The drive to deliver quality, solution-focused customer service A strong work ethic A passion for safety Be prepared to travel and work in various locations within the region A full and valid New Zealand driver's licence If you are not New Zealand registered but have electrical experience, then we would be interested in reviewing your application with the option to work under our Employee Licence programme.
