New Plymouth District Council is seeking a dedicated Meter Installer to join our Project Management Office on a fixed-term basis until October 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Universal Water Metering Project by installing water meters and collecting essential data to support our long-term sustainability goals.Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislationInstall new Automated Meter Reading (AMR) water meters at locations prepared by UWM Construction ContractorAccurately record details of newly installed meters linked to correct property address/IDAssist UWM Project Team and Reticulation Team in setting up meter reading systems and processesFull Class 1 driver's licenceComputer literate and able to maintain electronic recordsGreat interpersonal and communication skillsA willingness to learn with a positive team player attitudePrior related site experience preferred as a water technician or in infrastructure constructionHe aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?With the stunning Mt Taranaki as a backdrop and the warm iron sands along our coast, it is no wonder Taranaki is one of the best regions in New Zealand and the world.
