Job Description About the role We are currently looking for Metal Fitters/Machinists to join the team at our Ashburton plant.
The pay rate ranges from $38.50 to $50.40/hr, based on experience and qualification.
You will be working a shift roster pattern 4 ON 4 OFF, 12-hour shifts and will be either working on Day or Night shift.
A night shift allowance of $20 per shift will be paid for any nights worked.
As a Metal Fitter/Machinist, you will be responsible for: Reading engineering drawings and specifications to determine requirements.
Fitting fabricated metal parts as per plant requirements.
Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on plant equipment.
Installation of new equipment Qualifications For this role, you'll need: Trade certification qualification NZQA level 4 minimum.
4 years of experience in the trade preferred (3 years essential).
Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance practices.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
Competent computer literacy skills, with capability in email, MS Office, MS Teams, Deputy etc.
