Metal Fabricators- Welders
Enterprise Recruitment is working alongside leaders in the building service industry in New Zealand. Due to the continual growth in this market, our client - a New Zealand owned and operated building service maintenance provider - is looking for 3 Metal Fabricators/Welders to join their growing team. These roles will be based in the Canterbury region.
You will be offered:

30-hour work week guaranteed. Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

To be successful for this role, you need to have the following skills and 3 years' verifiable work experience:
Perform arc & mig mild steel welding in a workshop environment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensions
Work off site to install heavy and mild Steel
Fabricate and repair metal products using a variety of welding techniques
Create a variety of mild steel products in vertical ups, horizontal and overhead styles of welding
In addition to the above, the right candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:
Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
