Our client is a leading provider of mental health support services dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals. They believe in providing compassionate care and empowering individuals to achieve their full potential.
Due to expansion of the service, we are seeking dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Support Workers to join our client's team. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to offer emotional support, encouragement, and practical assistance to clients in their journey towards recovery.
These roles are Permanent with full-time and part-time hours available.
Please note, you must be available to work one shift during the weekend.
Key Responsibilities: Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to manage their mental health effectively
Assist clients with their personal care, housework and meal preparation
Set and achieve agreed goals and activities of daily living
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients
Monitor and document client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Skills required: Previous experience working as a Support or Health Worker and assisting clients with personal care would be beneficial
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with mental health challenges
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full and clean driver's licence
