As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in promoting the emotional well-being and academic progress of students across various year groups.As a Mental Health Support Worker, Your Responsibilities AreTo work closely with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement support plans.To provide one-on-one and group support to students experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.To conduct assessments to identify students' needs and monitor their progress.To deliver workshops and training sessions on mental health awareness and coping strategies.To keep regular records of student interactions and progress.To liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.Requirements For a Mental Health Support WorkerPrior experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.Strong understanding of mental health issues and passion for working with children and adolescents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant qualifications in mental health or counselling are desirable.An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
