Ehara taku I toa takitahi engari, he toa takitini. My strength is not the strength of one, it is the strength of many.
The West Coast location offers amazing lifestyle and recreational activity opportunities. If you love the rural setting and the great outdoors, then this is the role for you.
Mental Health and Addiction Services are seeking applications from psychiatrists who would be interested in working in the rural health setting across teams that include inpatient, Adult Community, Crisis, Alcohol and other Drugs, and Child Adolescent Mental Health.
The exact range of clinical responsibilities will be negotiated in regard to your experience, interests, and the Service needs.
Consideration would also be given to applications from Senior Medical Officers / non-training Registrars depending on prior mental health experience.
The development of integrated rural specialties services across the Coast, with a population of approximately 32,000 people, creates opportunities not available in bigger urban centres.
This is also an exciting time to join our team as work is well underway with the planning of a new build to house community teams and an inpatient unit at our central location of Greymouth.
We have systems in place to support collegial relationships and professional development, and we're always keen to explore new ideas.
We have regional support for sub-specialties such as Regional Forensics & Eating Disorders.
This isn't a job for just anyone; joining us means sharing our goals and values and being dedicated to this community and our team as we seek to become a centre of excellence in rural health care.
We offer competitive benefits, flexible working arrangements, and a relocation scheme to candidates who will join us in this.
