About the Role
Older Persons Mental Health are looking for a Registered Clinician with experience and passion for working with older people experiencing serious mental health problems to reach their best possible function and wellness. The position is a vital role in the delivery of care to people who experience long-standing or late-onset mental health problems and/or people with dementia complicated by serious behaviour and/or psychological symptoms.
About the Team/Service/Location
If you are a Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with experience in Older Persons Mental Health and enjoy working in a dynamic team then come and join us. This service is focused on facilitating resilience and recovery from the impacts of mental illness.
About You
Are you looking for a role in Older Persons Mental Health where you can deliver a purpose with wide-reaching benefits to those who need them? The position requires effective communication skills. You will need to have excellent assessment and intervention skills to work effectively with people and their families to sustain and achieve recovery. It is essential you have an interest in contributing to the integrated development of the Older Persons mental health and addiction services.

Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory)
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. (mandatory)
