Marlborough Chamber of Commerce – Blenheim, South IslandThe Membership, Training and Events Manager will be the beating heart of the membership experience at the Chamber. This is a frontline position responsible for the overall member experience including serving and growing Chamber membership, planning and delivering an exciting annual calendar of Chamber training and events, and ensuring our members and other stakeholders (sponsors) are engaged with up-to-date information and opportunities to engage and network.This is a 40 hour a week (although there is flexibility around the number of hours) permanent role reporting to the Executive Officer.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesTargeting potential members and onboarding them into the membership of the ChamberDeveloping and delivering a calendar of training and events that engage the membershipManaging the annual training and event budget so that it returns a profitManage all aspects of the biennial Business Excellence Awards including entries/judging and the event itselfSupport the EO in generating new Sponsors, onboarding them and delivering the value proposition to the existing sponsorsSupport delivery of the Chambers export certification process when requiredMonthly reporting on budget, membership and training and event executionSkills, Experience and Personal AttributesExcellent interpersonal, relationship and networking skillsGreat verbal and written communication skillsPerformance focused, track record of meeting or exceeding targeted deliverablesProven organisational and administrative abilityTime management, prioritisation and decision making skillsWilling to attend events out of hoursMarketing experience is preferredExperience with XEROExperience using CRM software and Social MarketingExperience using CanvaExperience working with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and AdobeGood understanding of Marlborough business and its communityAbility to represent organisation professionallyA high level of enthusiasm and interest that, in turn, motivates othersAbility to work in fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to reflect the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally awareCurrent Drivers License and access to a vehicle for work purposesHow to ApplyIf this sounds like you, then apply today.
