New Zealand Law Society – Auckland, North Island
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Member Services (Representative) department to provide support to the Auckland Branch Manager to deliver the services and events which meet the needs and requirements of lawyers in the Auckland region.
Good inter-personal skills, plenty of initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff, local branch members as well as members of the profession and public are key. A flexible approach and the ability to carry out and manage a range of tasks and events concurrently are central to this role. The work will be challenging, varied and fast-paced, and requires a high level of attention to detail.
Our Member Service Coordinators play an important role at the Law Society to support our legal profession through the delivery of quality education and other events.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week and will require support for events which fall outside of normal working hours.
The ideal applicants will have:
At least 3 years' administrative/organisational experience in membership support or similar
Experience in the organisation and management of events
Exposure to or a keen interest in New Zealand Law or legal practices/courts
Good oral and written skills
Confident with technology and a track record of using computers and technology efficiently
MS Excel, Zoom, Teams, marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Marketo, Bookwhen), database management skills and creating newsletters
Able to adapt communication style and approach as required
Work effectively under pressure to deliver quality work
Able to plan, prioritise and anticipate issues that may arise
High attention to detail and strong accuracy skills
Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently

About the Law Society:
The New Zealand Law Society Te Kahui Ture o Aotearoa is the professional body for barristers and solicitors in New Zealand. The Law Society regulates all lawyers practising in New Zealand and is the membership organisation for practising lawyers. With 13 branches throughout the country, the Law Society is the Kaitiaki (guardian) of the practice of law in Aotearoa New Zealand and the consumers of legal services.
