Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the roleThe South Community Mental Health Team provides care, support, and treatment for people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.The purpose of this role is to effectively contribute to the smooth running of the service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.The primary responsibility of this role is the typing of dictations alongside varied office administration duties including but not limited to: answering phone calls, liaising with consumers and whanau, data entry, and answering queries.About youYou will have a high level of computer competency, organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.To be successful in this role you will:Have previous administration or reception experienceMaintain an exceptionally high level of confidentialityBe enthusiastic and friendly with a good work ethicHave a friendly manner alongside outstanding customer serviceHave knowledge of the health sector (desired but not essential)Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
