$30- $35/hr
Prior experience in a medical is desirable.
Are you a highly organised and proactive professional? We are seeking a dedicated Medical Secretary to support senior management and the surgical team. This is a dynamic role where your attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to self-manage will be key to ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities: Staff Support: Assist senior management with staff performance reviews.Patient Coordination: Manage appointments for clinics and surgeries, including liaising with anaesthesia, nurses, hospital staff, and patients.Theatre Bookings: Coordinate theatre bookings and prepare operation packs with required forms for patients.Surgery Quotes & Consultations: Provide quotes for surgeries and handle patient consultations to schedule procedures.Administration: Manage patient file updates, clinic invoicing, operation invoicing, and maintain effective email communication with all relevant parties.Accounts Management: Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, GST, and liaise with the accountant as needed.Triage of Referrals: Assess and prioritise incoming patient referrals.Corporate Relationships: Build relationships with hospitals and physiotherapists through corporate meetings and events.Reception & General Administration: Perform reception duties, phone administration, and general tasks such as stock ordering.Skills and Experience: Medical Experience: Prior experience in a medical is desirable but training will be provided to those without experience.Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.Administrative Expertise: Strong typing skills, experience with invoicing, and proficiency in accounts management.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to liaise with patients, hospital staff, and insurance providers.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify business needs and direct staff roles accordingly.Self-Starter: Work autonomously and provide proactive support to the surgeon and team.Why Join Us?
