Medical Secretary

We are seeking to recruit a Medical Secretary to an Orthopaedic Surgeon in his private practice at the Leinster Orthopaedic Centre, Merivale, Christchurch.
This is a part time, permanent role, 24 hours per week over 4-5 days compatible with school hours.

Excellent written and spoken communication.
Outstanding professionalism, interpersonal skills and personal presentation.
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage a variety of duties autonomously and efficiently.
Experience in a medical field and Specialist Practice Management software may be of benefit; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
At least 2 years administration/secretarial experience with accurate touch typing.
Duties include: Processing referrals from healthcare providers.
Dealing with a range of patient enquiries.
Liaising with other healthcare services.
General administration and office duties.
