This will provide invaluable experience in geriatrics and the management of older people with frailty, regardless of the specialty you eventually choose. If you are preparing for the FRACP clinical exam or want to complete an AT research project, you will have ample time for private study. There is regular teaching both on site and at Palmerston North Hospital (via Zoom).

Nearby beach settlements of Foxton, Waitarere, Hokio, Ohau and Te Horo give you options for village living if that is your vibe. Surfing, swimming and boating are all options. Alternatively you could live in Palmerston North and commute daily (approx. 40 minutes).
With the newly opened Transmission Gully road to Wellington, the best little capital in the world is closer than ever – just over an hour away for shopping, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and concerts.
