Medical Administration (Healthcare & Medical)
We are looking for a fun, hard-working receptionist to join our amazing team at Strandon Health. Do you enjoy working with people? Would you like to work with people from diverse backgrounds every day? Does it drive you to make an impact by helping those in the community when they need you most?
Medical receptionists play a vital role in guiding the clinic's operations daily. Reporting to our practice manager, you will be the first point of contact for all our patients, whether they walk into the clinic or call us. The successful candidate must show empathy and initiative as well as be calm under pressure. Since we value laughter and encourage humour in our supportive team, we are seeking an individual with a sense of humour.
We are seeking two medical receptionists to join us part-time for the following set shifts listed below:
20 hours per week
Wednesday 1pm - 5pm
Thursday 8.30am - 5 pm
Friday 8.30am - 5pm
24 hours per week
Monday 8.30 - 5pm
Tuesday 8.30am - 5pm
Wednesday 8.30am - 5pm
We are needing fantastic team players, who can commit to these practice hours and also cover shifts for other team members from time to time.
About us:
Our team at Strandon Health is made up of 2 GP's, 4 Nurses, 1 HCA, Practice Manager, and 3 administrators. We are part of the OmniHealth practice network, a progressive health network committed to ensuring sustainable primary care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Attending to all patients/visitors on arrival at the clinic
Answering telephone calls
Assisting with account enquiries, invoicing, and reconciling accounts
Recording patient details, registrations, and updating patient information
Completing general administration tasks

Medical receptionist experience is preferred but not essential.
Good time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Organised, reliable, and well-presented with excellent verbal and written skills.
Bubbly, enthusiastic, and a ray of sunshine for our patients (someone who greets everyone with a welcoming smile).
Computer literacy: previous experience with Evolution or Medtech an advantage.
A commitment to the principles and practice of health equity and a desire to constantly upskill.
