Auckland Radiation Oncology (ARO) is seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to join our friendly and supportive medical physics team here in beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand.This new physics role has been created to support the expansion of ARO to a satellite centre in Auckland's North Shore, due to open in 2025. We encourage applications from physicists with a range of experience, from those who may have recently completed registration to those with several years' experience. You would play a key role in delivering advanced radiation oncology care to the people of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands using the latest technology.As the only Cyberknife (S7) centre in New Zealand, ARO offers SRS and SABR treatments for prostate, brain, spine, liver, and pancreatic cancer.We have two Elekta Versa HD linacs, both soon to be equipped with Elekta's new Iris high-definition, AI-enhanced CBCT imaging technology.Treatment planning on our linacs and Cyberknife is performed using the RayStation TPS.CT scanning is performed using our Canon Acquilion LB scanner.SunNuclear DoseCHECK is used for secondary MU calculations, and per_Fraction for EPID based in-vivo dosimetry.You will be joining a team of six Physicists and one technician. Duties include treatment plan checking, patient specific QA, routine linac QA, and the commissioning of new technologies, with significant time allocated to ongoing service development.
