The General Surgery Department at Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau is seeking a Medical Officer to join the team for a 12-month period to cover parental leave. This is a part-time role based in Whangarei but may also involve travel to our rural hospitals in the mid and far north regions.
The fixed term Medical Officer role will deliver surgical assessment, triage, treatment, and management of referred skin lesions to the hospital. You will work as part of a dedicated and close-knit team focusing on quality and service improvements and educational initiatives that support quality skin lesion management in Te Tai Tokerau.
The service is open to considering a job share or reduced FTE over this period for the candidate with the required skill sets.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Ideally, you will have postgraduate education specific to skin lesion assessment & management, but we are open to hearing from those working towards their qualification.
