Medical Management Unit Manager
Permanent full-time, Monday to Friday 0800-1700 hours

Mo te turanga / About the role An exciting opportunity has become available to work as the Medical Management Unit Manager (MMU) Rotorua and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua & Taupo Hospital. The role focuses on recruitment, rostering, and contract management of Senior and Resident Medical Officers, and reports to the Group Director of Operations at Rotorua Hospital.
Mo koe / About you Possesses an HR background preferably in recruitment, has qualifications in HR & Management relevant to this roleHas experience in leading and managing a small team and running the office (highly desirable)Has experience in a health and/or health-related field (desirable but not essential)Has a high commitment to the public health system and is passionate about service delivery in healthcareDemonstrates people relationship and engagement skills in building professional and respectful relationships with medical staffExhibits high attention to detail, timely delivery of outcomes, a focus on getting it right and going the extra mile when requiredHas knowledge and understanding of rostering, leave management according to contract agreementsIs committed to robust systems and processes within the unit to ensure consistency of service deliveryDisplays robust time management and skills to balance key priorities personally within the teamDemonstrates knowledge of Te Tiriti, and a commitment to correct pronunciation of Te ReoIs committed to working positively and collaboratively with medical staff and Service Managers dailyHas strong numerical/financial and writing skills and is competent in verbal, written and presentation skillsTakes responsibility for the unit and the provision of services across the organisationHas intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteHas full NZ drivers' licence (as some travel to Taupo hospital will be required)Mo Tatou / About us Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
