Medical Management Unit Manager
Permanent full time, Monday to Friday 0800-1700 hours

Mo te turanga / About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available to work as the Medical Management Unit Manager (MMU) Rotorua and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua Taupo Hospital. The role focuses on recruitment, rostering, and contract management of Senior and Resident Medical Officers, and reports to the Group Director of Operations at Rotorua Hospital.

We are looking for someone who:
Possesses an HR background preferably in recruitment, has qualifications in HR Management relevant to this role.
Has experience in leading and managing a small team and running the office (highly desirable).
Has experience in a health and/or health related field (desirable but not essential).
Has a high commitment to the public health system and is passionate about service delivery in healthcare.
Demonstrates people relationship and engagement skills in building professional and respectful relationships with medical staff.
Exhibits high attention to detail, timely delivery of outcomes, and a focus on getting it right.
Has knowledge and understanding of rostering and leave management according to contract agreements.
Is committed to robust systems and processes within the unit to ensure consistency of service delivery.
Displays robust time management skills to balance key priorities personally within the team.
Demonstrates knowledge of Te Tiriti and a commitment to correct pronunciation of Te Reo.
Is committed to working positively and collaboratively with medical staff and Service Managers daily.
Has strong numerical/financial and writing skills and is competent in verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Takes responsibility for the unit and the provision of services across the organisation.
Has intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Must have a full NZ drivers' licence (as some travel to Taupo hospital will be required).
