This is predominantly done through our network of 58 collection centers and a state-of-the-art laboratory situated in Mt Wellington. Our laboratory is highly automated and technically advanced, and we deliver an outstanding service for patients and health professionals. We are committed to the future of pathology in New Zealand through excellence in technical, clinical, and service innovations.About the role | Mo te turanga:Our Microbiology Department is currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Technician. This is a Permanent full-time position of 80 hours per fortnight.To succeed in this role you will need:The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines.A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety, quality assurance processes, operation of equipment, and hands-on practical experience.Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand under the scope of Medical Laboratory Technician and a current Annual Practicing Certificate are advantageous, but not essential.Available to work rostered and rotating weekends and evenings.
