Medical Laboratory Scientist We are inviting applications for a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the TB / PC3 Lab of Microbiology. This position is a full-time position Monday to Friday.

Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity The tasks in the TB culture Lab will include: Routine processing of specimens for smear and culture testing Reagent preparation Identification and susceptibility of Mycobacteria, especially MTBC DNA extraction for Molecular testing e.g., GeneXpert, resistance gene sequencing and fingerprinting of MTB isolates from both internal and external isolates We have a great team, and you will enjoy the following benefits:

As this is a full-time Monday to Friday position, the MLS will not be able to participate in rostered penal weekends or call. Nga Pukenga Motuhake Important Skills You should be a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
This role requires good communication skills and a knowledge of analytical processes. You must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and a can-do attitude to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
