Medical Laboratory Scientist - Hamilton Blood BankFast paced, interesting and varied workPermanent, full timeHamilton basedAbout the role Medical Laboratory Scientists within the Blood Bank are responsible for performing a range of duties related to pre transfusion, antenatal and diagnostic testing and the issue of blood and blood products for clinical purposes.
This role is a full time position with 80 hours per fortnight, fully participating in our 24/7 roster including on-call duties as rostered.
Your base salary will be between $69,000 and $104,466 (increasing to $71,070 and $107,600 from 2 Dec 2024) depending on skills, experience and registration.
About you To be successful in this role you must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ, or you will be seeking to complete your intern requirements before registration with MSCNZ. Ideally you will have experience working within a Blood Bank, Transfusion Science or related discipline, however this is not essential as fully training provided.
