Waikato Hospital is one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the country, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our friendly, dedicated team.
We are seeking a medical radiation technologist to join our CT department on a fixed term basis to cover 12 months parental leave. We require someone with previous CT experience to fill this role.
The radiology department has a staff of approximately 130 and provides a full range of imaging modalities including CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, vascular / interventional radiology and conventional x-ray.
You will be working across a variety of shifts, on a 24-hour roster and will involve working on call duties, including the weekends.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Provide high quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner
Deliver safe, respectful, effective and efficient patient care and optimal service delivery
Participate in a rotating shift roster
Uphold and meet registration and regulatory CPD requirements
Work as an effective team player and promote a team culture that fosters collaborative working relationships

The following skills and experience are required to be considered for this role:
Have a full registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board with a general scope of practice and current practicing certificate.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
