Work for a progressive world class tertiary education providerExciting role in Tertiary EducationOpportunity to teach in the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (BMI) programmeAbout the Role This role will involve taking a clinical lead role within the CDHB with opportunities for teaching in the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (BMI) programme at the Manawa campus. The successful applicant will work with a team of staff who are experienced clinicians and educators. You are expected to be a qualified MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography. The role would be preferable for a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) working for Waitaha/ Te Whatu Ora.
Skills/Experience A degree qualification in Medical ImagingCurrent New Zealand Scope of Practice Medical Imaging TechnologistCurrent industry/discipline knowledgeKnowledge of Te Whatu Ora processes and protocolsA broad range of clinical skillsVision, innovation, and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning.Flexibility to work in a range of theoretical and clinical coursesCapable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes.Digital literacy including competence using a computer (including Microsoft office products)Effective communication with a diverse range of others, at all levels within and outside the organisationPassionate about medical imaging and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to health sector through education.About Us Ara Institute of Canterbury, a business division of Te Pukenga (Ara), is a vibrant and progressive tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region.
