This role is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of growing our revenue, market share, and brand presence for our NZ Medical and Emergency Care business. We are a growth-focused, well-established ANZ privately owned business headquartered in Auckland, with teams in Australia and NZ.
What you will be doing?
Reporting to our Medical and Emergency Sales Manager, you will be based in Auckland and responsible for driving sales of our Medical and Emergency Care products in our Upper North Island territory (from Taupo to Kaitaia). Our Medical and Emergency Care portfolio includes trauma, resuscitation, defibrillation, airway management and related pre-hospital and hospital products.
Specifically you will:
Develop and implement a sales strategy, tactical account and sales cycle plans for our medical and emergency range of products, to drive sales performance and maximise the budgeted revenue, growth and margin targets in your territory.
Build and continue to develop high levels of product knowledge and provide technical support and product training to customers.
Grow strong relationships and retain a network of customers, key accounts, opinion leaders and industry contacts to facilitate sales development and success.
Support marketing initiatives to drive revenue and implement promotional activities.
Work closely and collaboratively with our national sales teams, customer services, warehouse, distribution, supply chain teams and our product managers.
What you will bring:
A clinical background in Emergency Medical Services, Paramedicine or Critical or Acute Care Nursing would be preferred.
Ideally, sales experience and a strong track record of account management in the medical devices/healthcare/emergency care sector, but for the right candidate with a clinical background, we are prepared to train you.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to implement sales strategy and account management and sales cycle plans.
Highly developed and effective communication skills – verbal and written.
Outstanding relationship building skills – experienced, confident, and credible at building strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels of organisations, collaborating effectively with all stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and commercial judgement, along with excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify new business opportunities and opportunities for strategic partnerships.
Good technological skills including the ability to embrace and effectively utilise technology, analyse data and run our CRM system.
You must also be available and happy to travel regularly throughout the Upper North Island of NZ, and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
