What we are looking for
We are looking for a full time Mechanical Trades Assistant for some fixed term projects. The role is based at the Woodbourne NZDF Base, next to the Airport.
You'll be passionate about mechanical projects and be mechanically minded. You will enjoy performing a variety of tasks, such as welding/fabricating, working with steel and using hand tools.
Training will be provided and formal mechanical qualifications are not required.
We are looking for someone who could be flexible with working additional hours/days as the work fluctuates.
Your Skills and Experience
Mechanical related experience in a similar role
Strong communication skills
Resilient and flexible; problem-solving skills
Strong team player and interpersonal skills
Be motivated to help others
Full NZ Drivers Licence
Maintain the required security clearance
Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
