Our Engineering Services business unit manages the infrastructure assets at Auckland Airport so that they effectively and efficiently serve the defined needs of our company, customers and stakeholders. The team understand that the effective management of these assets supports Auckland Airport's strategic goals and reputation. The Reliability Engineering team are a team of Engineers who are responsible for the reliability of all building services, utilities and civil assets across the Terminals and Precinct.
About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer whose role is to provide and facilitate reliable HVAC and Building Management Systems at the Airport.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
Managing HVAC Assets including cooling towers, boilers, air handling units, ducting and dampers, high wall units, fans, cooling tower water quality, filtration
Building Management System (BMS)
Contractor performance management and contract administration for all contractors and/or suppliers
Technical and financial performance administration and reporting
Engaging with multiple customers, stakeholders, contractors, retailers, and suppliers
Asset management including asset condition reporting, maintaining asset registers, asset renewal planning
Supporting the Project team with Engineering design reviews, Project delivery and commissioning phases
Providing support in development and implementation of Auckland Airport's decarbonisation pathway
Providing support in the annual greenhouse gas audit
What you'll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:
Mechanical Engineering Degree, Diploma or NZCE, or a relevant Engineering tertiary qualification or equivalent specialising in HVAC systems
At least 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Engineering service delivery or project delivery role specialising in complex large scale operational environments
Good knowledge and experience with large scale HVAC systems with an interface to a BMS platform
Proven experience with contract/contractor management
Knowledge of relevant utilities codes, standards, guidelines and compliance requirements
Understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements related to building and utility
Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and various external stakeholders such as customers, contractors, retailers and suppliers
Ability to think strategically and cope with business complexity
