Te Kaunihera-a-rohe o Ngamotu - New Plymouth District Council is a local government organisation located in the heart of New Plymouth. Te aheinga - The opportunity
Join our dedicated Three Waters team, where we manage and maintain water and wastewater infrastructure crucial to the health and sustainability of our community. We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency and reliability across our water and wastewater sites throughout the region.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Lead you will report to the Engineering & Technical Support Manager, the role will involve overseeing the maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment at water and wastewater sites around the district.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:
* Manage equipment and life expectancy records for all Three Waters plants and equipment
* Manage the inventory of critical spares essential for maintaining Three Waters service provision though breakdowns and incidents
* Responsible for Operational budgets including forecasts and inputs for Long Term Plans
* Develop maintenance schedules for mechanical plant and equipment
* Responsible for team rostering, work allocation, monitoring, performance reviews and staff training
* Provide advice to the Wastewater and Water Treatment Plant Leads and operators as well as other parts of the Three Waters team
* Responsible for compliance with health and safety legislation on high hazard sites.
Nga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience:
* Relevant qualification or equivalent knowledge in mechanical operations and / or maintenance
* Experience with developing and implementing mechanical scheduled maintenance
* Full driver's licence
