Our client, a New Zealand leading GMP-certified manufacturer of complementary medicines and natural health products, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their innovative and dynamic team in beautiful sunny Nelson.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified tradesperson to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of complex machinery/equipment within their progressive manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the installation of new machinery, troubleshoot & diagnose issues, and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise production downtime.
This position is ideal for someone with a manufacturing mechanical maintenance engineering background who values a great work/life balance, with no travel to work sites required.
What we are ideally seeking: NZ trade qualification in mechanical engineering
Proven hands-on preventative maintenance and diagnostic experience
Knowledge of automation, ideally within a manufacturing and critical hygiene environment
Ability to work independently and respond effectively to plant and equipment issues
Proficiency in TIG welding and experience with light fabrication
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
A practical approach to workplace safety
A valid NZ driver's license.
