You: By joining our, Taupo based, Mechanical Fitting team, you'll enjoy getting out to a variety of client sites, working with a close-knit team and taking pride in a job well done.
As a skilled tradesperson, with experience in industrial plant/heavy machinery/workshop management, you'll be comfortable working under pressure, making independent decisions as well as together with the team, to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
If you have a thirst for knowledge, a willingness to continue learning and are keen to dive into a new industry you'll fit right in. You must also bring:
A level 4 trade qualification as a Fitter Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures An outside the box approach based on best practice standards Power generation maintenance experience will allow you to hit the ground running Flexibility to work extended and flexible hours, as and when required, including periodic work outside of Taupo It is beneficial if you also offer industry tickets and licenses such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, HT (Class 2-4), Truck Mounted & Overhead Crane, Hiab.
The Role: Joining a talented team performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, refurbishment, and general engineering in geothermal and hydro power generation. You'll be completing critical measurements and carrying out precision alignments,working with large turbines, heavy rotating equipment, cranage, valves, pumps, fans, heat exchangers etc. Your day could also include on-site general fabrication, rigging, slinging, dogging and using overhead gantries for lifts up to 100 tonnes.
