Mechanical Fitter

Responsibilities:- Carry out steel and aluminum fitting - prior experience with valves and bearings is a must- General workshop engineering and equipment maintenance- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment- Accurate completion of paperwork and documentation- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goalsRequirements:- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in the marine/shipyard environment- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude- High work ethic and a passion for getting hands-on- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- A commitment to safe working practices- Flexibility when dealing with people and situations- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering - we will also consider applicants that display the right attitude and mechanical aptitude and will offer training to strengthen your skills.Location:Nelson, known for its stunning coastal views and vibrant arts scene, offers an ideal setting for work-life balance.
