Support and manage major breakdowns (corrective maintenance) ensuring appropriate corrective actions implemented and preventative actions put in place.
Identify and lead value improvement and waste elimination in Engineering, working with stakeholders to develop Continuous Improvement projects to attain targeted levels of performance.
Utilise defined Continuous Improvement methodologies, tools & techniques to deliver quantifiable improvements.
Development of Engineering KPIs on Quality, Safety, Delivery and Cost, issuing periodic reports tracking departmental performance.
Coach and mentor engineers and operators to integrate Continuous Improvement throughout the Engineering Department.
Develop simulated and real BCP test plans and supporting procedure exercises.
Ownership of engineering and GMP change controls associated with Continuous Improvement projects.
Input to and generation of Capital Projects Budgets in SAP.
When required, performing and documenting preventative maintenance and other works within area of expertise to meet maintenance schedules.
Ensuring equipment breakdowns are resolved with minimal disruption to the operation using their knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and resolve non-routine problems.
Providing input and assistance with executing capital projects.
Ensuring all GMP, corporate and legislative compliance requirements are met.
Working closely with stakeholders to organize own daily tasks and support production schedules.
What You Must Have Engineering qualification /trade certificate in a relevant discipline Prior experience in a relevant engineering discipline Manufacturing experience in a vaccine or pharmaceutical environment, including 'hands-on' Maintenance Experience with GMP/GLP or ISO 9000 in a production environment would be advantageous Evidence of process improvement and a working knowledge of aseptic technique is required.
