Sr Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)Experience designing systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, and multifamily buildings. Should be seasoned and capable as an engineering project manager, capable of designing and engineering a project from initial concept through completed construction.Develop and evaluate system concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scope.Develop design drawings and specifications for building mechanical systems.Perform systems analysis and prepare reports and studies as well as cost estimates.Lead and coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, and administration staff.Interface with clients to discuss changes to designs and/or specifications.Work with leadership to manage design manpower budget and update budget to reflect revisions or changes in scope.Assisting in the training and mentoring junior firm members.Education And ExperienceEducation: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.Experience: 10 years of job-related experience.Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineering License in NJ & PA (at least one is required, with ability to obtain the other). LEED accreditation is desirable, but not a requirement.Preferred QualificationsProject management experience is required (including interfacing with client, coworkers, and code officials).Proven track record of success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.Hands-on experience with engineering, design, building, and mechanical code requirements, with emphasis on multifamily facilities including affordable housing, student housing, and market-rate housing.Energy efficient design knowledge is a plus.Demonstrated proficiency in ArchiCAD or AutoCAD environment.
