You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will mentor you.About the roleReporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks.
This is a full-time permanent apprenticeship opportunity.
You will be working Monday-Friday from 6am for a minimum of 40 hours per week, and on occasion, you will be on call for evenings/weekends.Fix and maintain pumps, motors, sprockets, and conveyor beltsOperate and maintain the plant, including mixing asphalt and operating loadersFollow maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual)Ensure general plant cleanlinessLearn the mechanical workings of the plant and assist with general operationsWhat you'll bring to the roleMechanically minded with a strong work ethicSelf-starter, proactive and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn and grow with upskilling and training opportunitiesIdeally holds WTR and forklift endorsementsFlexible with working hours and available for on-call dutiesIf you're keen on a long-term career and ready to learn from the best, apply today to join our team and start your journey.About usHiggins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
