Mechanic

We require an experienced Workshop Mechanic to repair and service machinery, focusing on small engine equipment, chainsaws, and ride-ons.
STIHL SHOP Onehunga is a major supplier and service agent of machinery to the Auckland area. Our technical workshop is the centre of our business – and one of the largest in the industry. Successful candidates are eligible for ongoing training, certification, and career development through our various brands.
Work days are Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Sundays can be rostered off, and shifts exchanged if required.
Ideal applicants will be familiar with working on chainsaws and other various machines. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
Diagnosing faults and technical issues in machines.
Servicing and repairing machinery (chainsaws, mowers, ride-ons, construction equipment).
Writing up jobs diligently and occasionally advising customers.
Experience is essential, and pay will reflect your ability and aptitude. Training is available for mechanics from outside this industry. This is an opportunity to be part of a friendly, supportive team.
