Meals On Wheels Drivers - Te Awamutu

Details of the offer

We are looking for keen and committed volunteers to contribute as a Volunteer Meals on Wheels Driver on weekdays.
You will be a vital part of our volunteer family and will be making a direct contribution to those who need it the most, especially the elderly, sick, and those unable to cook their own meals. Your support will not just provide them with a chance at a healthy meal but also give them a friendly in-person interaction with an awesome volunteer like yourself. You will be joining a team of volunteers who ensure the most vulnerable in our community have a hot healthy meal on a daily basis.
Requirements:
You will need to have your own car. Someone who enjoys interacting with people and has good communication skills and a clean full driving license. It would be very helpful if you were familiar with most parts of Te Awamutu or confident using GPS or a map to find locations. Volunteers need to be warm, friendly, and reliable to support the community. Having a mobile phone is desirable. A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment:
Weekdays - 10:30 am - 12 pm, fortnightly or monthly. We are also seeking casual drivers who may be available on short notice to cover a weekday 10:30 am - 12 pm. You can choose the day that suits you best.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
