Right now, we're seeking applications for Midwifery students interested in casual work with the maternity team at Timaru hospital. As a Maternity Care Assistant, you will assist with providing care and support to women, babies, and whanau under the direction and supervision of nursing staff, in addition to other housekeeping tasks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to put your learning into practice. You'll enjoy the flexibility of a truly varied role – never a dull moment or a day that looks like another! All whilst fitting it in with your lifestyle.
If you have relevant experience and or the following attributes we would like to hear from you:
Ability to assist people with major health needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work within a team and seek assistance when needed
Adaptable & friendly
Ability to work – morning, afternoon, nights or part shifts if required
Committed to quality care and service delivery
