Mo te tunga | About the roleThe Materiel Management Analyst is an advisory and analytical professional who turns data into information; information into insight; and insight into business decisions. You will be a custodian of NZDF inventory management policy and processes undertaking key activities that contribute to the delivery of logistics operational effectiveness along with training NZDF personnel in Inventory Management and Physical Inventory.This role can be based at Linton Military Camp (Palmerston North) or Trentham (Wellington). The role will also require occasional travel to other camps and bases.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking a person with a proven ability to analyse issues and develop solutions using appropriate tools and techniques including data mining, predictive models and data visualisation.You will bring experience in:Managing and successfully implementing process and procedural changes within logistics, inventory management or supply chain.Mid-level analysis experience from a service organisation, with the ability to deal with complex issues and to apply problem solving techniques.Excellent communication with strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build strong working relationships across a diverse range of people.The ability to work autonomously, you are self-managing and self-motivating however you will have a support network around.Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint).Working knowledge of SAP products (Inventory Management, Physical Inventory, Supply, Asset and Plant Maintenance) or similar systems (highly desired and advantageous).Nou te rourou | What's in it for youYour skills and dedication deserve recognition, and NZDF delivers with competitive pay matched to your experience.
