General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)Te Oranganui is looking for a talented Mataiawa Corporate to provide progressive leadership and positive change as a member of the executive leadership team in Whanganui.Te Taituara is the business unit of Te Oranganui and is the one service that supports all other Te Oranganui services internally from a back office perspective.
Te Taituara is the backbone of the organisation and consists of finance, people, communication, data, knowledge, analytics and business administration support personnel who have the skill and expertise to ensure the smooth running of Te Oranganui so the front-line staff are able to service the Kaimahi and community in an efficient and professional manner.The role will also be a part of the Executive Leadership team that will drive the strategy of the organisation.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe Mataiawa Corporate will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all funding and contract management aspects of the business while providing excellent leadership and advice on delivering strategic growth in these areas and across the organisation.This role will oversee Corporate Services including Finance, Human Resources (including Payroll and Health and Safety), Communications, Quality Management and Improvements, Information Technology, Data Systems Management, and Property Maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Offer a critical contribution to the Executive Leadership Team as well as lead and unite the Senior Management Team to work effectively across the respective areas.Develop and implement strategies to enhance profitability and long-term sustainability.Oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Provide leadership and direction on strategic and commercial projects.Partner with the executive team members and Mataiwhetu (CEO) to achieve the company's vision and purpose.Manage cohesion and collaboration across contracts/services for the good of whanau/clients.Strategic thinking and conceptual skills to work with the Mataiwhetu (CEO) and the Executive Leadership Team to connect ideas and devise strategies that shape organisational direction.Relevant Accounting or Finance tertiary qualification (NZQA Level 7 or higher) and/or equivalent experience.A minimum of 5 years in a similar senior leadership role, ideally from within a primary health setting.Developed experience in contractual negotiations, employment relations and financial stakeholder management.Financially competent, you'll be across P&L management, planning & budgeting, as well as producing and presenting financial plans, along with monthly, quarterly and yearly reports to the Board.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of audiences and inspire support.Willingness to work in a Kaupapa Maori environment and commitment to Whanau, Hapu and Iwi.Ko wai matou | Who are weInvesting in transformational wellbeing where whanau are at the centre of everything we do.Te Oranganui is an iwi governed organisation that was established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Maori in the Whanganui Region.
