Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and customers is key in this endeavour. Effective leadership of the team is crucial, emphasizing flexibility and a customer-centric approach to ensure efficient and cost-effective maintenance solutions are consistently delivered.Find out more:Key responsibilities of the Master Technician (Vehicle and Equipment): Plan and supervise the workload, including the activities of the Technicians at the Fleet Maintenance facilities and other locations. At times this may include the other facilities in times of absenceWork in full support of all the Fleet Maintenance department staff and in particular closely liaise with maintenance staff across the Service to deliver the Fleet Maintenance support services in support of business demandsAssisting with the management of the quality and performance of all shop floor and other location activities using 'Systems' thinking and best value practicesComply with all Departmental Policies/Processes/ Procedures and assist in the development of those relating to the Maintenance SectionUndertake risk assessments relating to workshop processes and activities, to include development and management of Safe System of Work (SS of W)Provide information as required supporting Management ReportsContribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and processes relating to duties and tasks associated with the role as appropriate/requiredSupervise activities associated with the use and changeover of reserve/pool appliances and inventories in connection with Fleet Maintenance businessUse Microsoft office applications and software systems specific to the Fleet function, i.e. Vehicle reporting systems, to include handheld technology as appropriateWork to a high standard and adhere to industry standard repair times (ICME or similar), internal schedule of rates and manufacturer's standard timesComply with the National Occupational Standards of performance applicable to the functions in the workplace (IMIHV01 and IMIMRHV01)/Industry Standards, current legislation and internal specificationsComply with industry National Standards, current legislation and internal specifications.
