Applications Solution Engineering works to drive our Leadership in Finance, HCM, SCM, EPM & CX Cloud innovations.
This role will focus on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions with the responsibility of leading all aspects of the functional sales process.
This will require a sound knowledge of all of the key product pillars: Finance, HCM, SCM, EPM, and CX. The expectation will be to contribute strongly within the sales cycle alongside the nominated sales representative and, at times, independently of that person.
As a Master Principal Sales Consultant, you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical/functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Serve as the functional expert in applications sales activities to prospective clients and customers while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Act as a functional resource and mentor for less experienced Applications Sales Consultants.
Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.
Lead all aspects of the functional sales process.
Take a role on account, solution, or industry teams, where required.
Advise internal and external clients on overall solutions architecture.
Develop and maintain knowledge on competitive offerings.
Provide linkage and feedback to product development teams on future product development.
Be able to respond to RFPs, conduct discovery, prepare, and deliver demonstrations to prospective clients as well as potentially to our strategic customer base.
Collaborate with all surrounding sales support teams to facilitate our selling cycles.
Create and maintain relationships with key product partners like Product Marketing, Development, Strategy, Partners, etc.
Participate in strategic account planning.
Contribute to the generation and maintenance of relevant Oracle Financials value propositions.
Educate customers and Partner Organizations in Oracle Financials Cloud solutions and value propositions.
Share Oracle's Marketing messages in the definition of product solutions.
Build and maintain long-standing relationships with customers both during and after the bid process.
Contribute to customer success and reference-ability.
Provide customer value by representing Oracle on project steering committees as required.
Engage senior-level executives within the customer, providing points of view on Oracle technology alignment and business value outcomes.
Skills Required 5-7 years of business experience in Accounting or Finance with relevant Financials and Accounting enterprise-level software applications.
ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, and CX knowledge.
The ability to demonstrate the newest and most advanced product features and maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitors.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.
The ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.
Develop and execute solution strategies for the market.
May provide training to field sales and Partners on industry/solutions.
Build and maintain a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge.
Provide subject matter expertise in industry/product space.
Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force and customer teams.
Partner with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions.
Provide specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representative's territory.
The ability to travel as needed.
A degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent; CPA or Masters preferred.
3+ years Solution Architecture experience.
Exposure to large-scale digital transformations in either project management or lead architect capacity, ideally in Public Sector and FS.
